BY ROAD

The M4, M5 and M6 motorways have made travel to Cornwall simple and straightforward, while within Cornwall itself, the two major holiday routes, the A30 and A38 continue to improve, with fast dual carriageways as far as Bodmin, and most of the way to Penzance. The routes listed show the easiest way to join the M5 which you will then follow to Exeter, after which you will take the A30 to Launceston - A395to Camelford - A39 through Camelford. ½ mile out, turn right for Tintagel/Boscastle - first left after garage.

From Scotland -the M74/A74(M) from Glasgow and the A7 from Edinburgh connect with the M6/M5.
From the North East - the A1(M)M1/M42 provide easy access to the M5.

From the North West/Midlands - the M6/M5. From East Anglia - take the M11 to the M25, then the M4 and onto the M5.

From London & the Home Counties - take the M4/M5 for a fast route to the A30/A38. From the South Coast take the M3/A303 to the A30 (scenic but can be busy). From Kent & Channel Ports, take the M2/M20 to the M25/M4/M5.
From Wales - the M4/M48 from South Wales and the M50/M54/M56 further north link in to the M6/M5.

From North Devon - leave the M5 at junction 27 and take the A361 and then the A39, the Atlantic Highway and follow directions from Camelford.

To the Isles of Scilly there are daily, (excluding Sundays) year-round flights to St Mary's and Tresco from Penzance Heliport. Contact British International Helicopters (01736) 363871.

The Isles of Scilly Skybus (fixed-wing) operates daily flights between Land's End and St Mary's (year-round excluding Sundays) and between St Mary's and Newquay, Plymouth, Exeter, Bristol and Southampton (excluding Sundays and with a reduced service in the winter months). Contact 0345 105555.
